Removal of Stock Pillar

With the drivers side door open, firmly grasp the a pillar piece and pull it out.   There are two clips that hold it in place.  Be careful if you plan on installing the OEM piece later.  The clips can sometimes break when you try and remove them.

Preparing New Pod

To hold the gauges in place, they come with an aluminum "U" shaped bracket.   One side of the bracket cannot be installed due to clearance with the pod.  I used my Rotozip to cut the piece in half so I could use one half for the outside mounting post.

With the stock pillar removed, place the Lotek into position and   using the drill, mark your pilot hole.  Remove the pillar and finish drilling through the A-Pillar

Since I couldn't reach the lower screw location with my drill, I just hot glued the screw cap in place.

You can wire the gauges any way you want to.  I chose to use quick connect connectors (disk drive power connectors from Radio Shack).  This allows me to easily remove the gauge pod if needed.

With all the gauges in place and wires connected, all you have to do is install the gauge pod and secure using the upper screw location.  Make sure you don't forget the screw caps.
**FYI, the pod does not come pre drilled for switches or LED's.  I drilled those holes for my Casper's cooling fan.
